DAY 1: MARRAKECH – OUARZAZATE – ZAGORA
The Marrakech to Erg Chigaga Morocco Sahara Desert tour begins at 7:30 AM, with your driver picking you up from your accommodation. We’ll journey towards the Atlas Mountains, stopping at Tizi En Tichka Pass for a break to enjoy coffee and stretch your legs while taking in the stunning landscapes. Lunch will be in Ouarzazate before continuing to Zagora via the Draa Valley, renowned for its lush oasis dotted with palm trees. Dinner and overnight stay at your Zagora hotel.

DAY 2: ZAGORA – MHAMID – ERG CHIGAGA
After breakfast in Zagora, we’ll head to M’hamid, passing through Tamagroute to visit one of Morocco’s oldest Quranic libraries, the underground kasbah, and a pottery factory. Lunch will be in M’hamid. In the early afternoon, we’ll depart for Erg Chigaga dunes, crossing diverse desert landscapes, including ‘Erg’, ‘Reg’, ‘Hammada’, and oases. The Erg Chigaga dunes, remote and serene, offer an unforgettable sunset, followed by an overnight stay at your luxury Sahara desert camp.

DAY 3: ERG CHIGAGA – FOUM ZGUID – OUARZAZATE
Wake up early to witness the sunrise over the Sahara dunes and enjoy breakfast at your luxury desert camp. Our journey continues for another 90 km through varying desert scenery, first crossing Lake Iriqui and then the mountains and fossils along the old “Rally Paris Dakar” route to Foum Zguid, the first village after the desert where the paved road begins. After lunch, we’ll visit the Berber village of Taznakht, known for its carpets and rugs, before heading to Ouarzazate for a relaxing evening and dinner at your hotel.

DAY 4: OUARZAZATE – KASBAH AIT BEN HADDOU – MARRAKECH
After breakfast, we’ll visit the Kasbah of Tourirte and the nearby film studios, often referred to as Hollywood of Africa. Next, we’ll explore the UNESCO World Heritage site of Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, famous as a filming location for numerous Hollywood films, including “Gladiator,” “Indiana Jones,” and “Lawrence of Arabia.” We’ll then make our way back to Marrakech via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains, with lunch either in Ait Ben Haddou or along the way.
