Day 1: Marrakech to Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, Ouarzazate, Valley of Roses, and Todra Gorge
After an early breakfast, your driver will pick you up from your Riad or hotel at 7:30 AM. Start your journey through the breathtaking High Atlas Mountains. Your first stop will be the famous Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, recognized for its role in “The Gladiator.” Next, head to Ouarzazate to explore the Atlas Film Studios and the Taourirt Kasbah. Continue through the Skoura Oasis and the scenic Valley of Roses (Kelaat M’Gouna). In the evening, check in at Auberge le Festival in Todra Gorge, where you can enjoy a traditional organic dinner and spend the night in a cave room. Day 2: Todra Gorge to Tinjdad and Merzouga (Sahara Desert)
After breakfast and check-out, take a short hike to discover the picturesque river valleys and Berber villages in Todra Gorge. Visit Ksar El Khorbat and the Musée Lalla Mimouna in Tinjdad. Then, make your way to the majestic Sahara sand dunes at Merzouga. In the evening, enjoy a camel trek to the oasis to witness a stunning sunset. Spend the night at Madu Luxury Desert Camp, where you can relax over dinner, enjoy traditional Berber music, and gaze at the stars around the campfire.
Day 3: Merzouga to Erfoud, Midelt, Azrou, Ifrane, and Fes
Rise early to catch the sunrise over the Sahara dunes and have breakfast at the desert camp. Depart for Fes, stopping along the way. Visit the Museum of Fossils and Minerals in Erfoud, then have lunch in Midelt. Next, head to Azrou to see the monkey forest, followed by a visit to Ifrane, often called “Little Switzerland,” to see the stone lion. Arrive in Fes by evening and check into your Riad or hotel for a relaxing evening.
